About the Squad
The Lebanon Varsity Football/Competition Cheer squad is composed of 16 members. The squad cheers for the LHS football team throughout the entire season. During the football season, they also host a dance for special education students, create routines for a blind cheerleading squad, and volunteer at the local race for cancer research, Sherry’s Run. After the football season, the squad begins to focus on competition cheerleading. During this season, the girls complete service projects that involve toys for children, baking for service employees, and visitation to assisted-living facilities. As a competition cheerleading squad, the ladies are given the opportunity to improve and show athletic abilities. In addition, the squad has the opportunity to compete for title wins as representatives of Lebanon High School. Squad members of a competition team are often offered scholarships for college. The squad received a bid to nationals last year. As a squad, the girls have been awarded the Outstanding G.P.A. award by TSSAA with a cumulative 4.05 G.P.A. The members are very excited about the opportunities which are ahead!
